OPEN CALL FOR KUK FESTIVAL 2026

KUK Theatre Festival, dedicated to Theatre for Early Years, is excited to announce an open call for shows for its 11th edition! The festival will be held at the Vzlet Cultural Centre in Prague, Czech Republic, from September 27th to October 1st, 2026.

WHICH SHOW ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

→ finished production, that has already premiered

→ designed for children aged from 10 months to 3 years

→ nonverbal performance

→ relaxed performance (not mandatory)

CONDITIONS:

→ fee for 4 performances: up to 3 200 Eur + 50% of the travel costs + accommodation

DEADLINE for filling in the application:

→ March 27th

MORE ABOUT KUK FESTIVAL:

KUK is a Czech word for Peek-a-boo! and also a name of a festival focusing on Theatre for Early Years.​ The project was founded in 2016 by DAMÚZA and takes place in Prague, Czech Republic. Throughout the year the team of KUK is organizing series of events for the smallest ones. Performances, yoga workhops, baby circus workshops, original interactive playing objects etc. can be found at these events. All parts of the festival are prepared mainly for the children aged 10 months to 3 years old and for their parents.
